This plaque is at Victoria Station between platforms 8 and 9. The Unknown Warriors tomb is the only one in Westmister Abbey that you are forbidden to walk over!!
I've walked past it on countless occasions. It was only reading Henry Allighams autobiography that has a section about the ceremony that mentioned it that alerted me to it's presence.
There's something prosaic and highly appropriate about that sign. No fanfare, no fuss. A simple, factual plaque for an unknown soldier. Very moving.
